The Whiteley Scholarship
The Whiteley Scholarship was created in collaboration with the University of Westminster to support students with the cost of living throughout their time at University. Last year, the foundation supported Walaa Kalam, who said that “the scholarship has helped me by allowing me to take off some financial stress of my mother. The cost of living crisis isn’t getting any better and I am extremely fortunate to have this scholarship to assist with the electric, gas, water and other expenses.”
We applaud Walaa’s dedication to her studies and are proud to see The Whiteley Scholarship playing a vital role in supporting her academic journey. This year we will be supporting Walaa again, and will also be supporting Laurita Kunickaite, second-year undergraduate student at the University of Westminster, pursuing a BSc in Data Science and Analytics.

Unfold
Cllr Ormsby and Cllr Jude brought the application to the committee, and they have supported Unfold previously through ward budgets. The Whiteley Foundation is supporting a new project by Unfold which will provide a specialised mentoring programme over a period of 12 months.

Hallfield Youth Club
The Whiteley Community Foundation is delighted to be supporting the Hallfield Youth Club. In partnership with Westbourne Park Family Centre, Everyone Active, and Westminster City Council the funding provided by all partners will enable three hours a week of youth club provision during term time, plus three hours a week of sports provision throughout the year.
Westbourne Park Family Centre, based at Westbourne Park Baptist Church on Porchester Road will be primarily running the youth club. They will use a combination of their own indoor spaces and when daylight allows, will run sports sessions and youth outreach on the Hallfield estate.

Floating Classroom
The Whiteley Community Foundation is delighted to announce its partnership with the Floating Classroom. The Floating Classroom provides hands-on learning experiences inspired by London’s waterways and green spaces for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children. They offer 14 modules that both meet the learning objectives of the national curriculum and inspire out-of classroom adventures and enriching experiences in nature.
The Foundation will support 20 learning trips on the Floating Classroom for schools in the Bayswater and Lancaster Gate area. Our outdoor education initiatives foster lifelong connections with the natural world for children and young people.
